A Centre of excellence for A-Level studies
Parrs Wood Sixth Form is housed in an 18th century Grade 2 listed building next to Parrs Wood High School.The facilities provide spacious teaching rooms and study facilities in the unique atmosphere of the beautiful Georgian Villa, coupled with state of the art technology. The Centre houses its own dining facilities, common room, ICT rooms, careers, UCAS and Connexions advisors. We also share the excellent facilities of the school including large and well equipped science and art suites, excellent sports facilities and a thriving music department.
Many of our Sixth Form students have previously attended the main school but many also come from other institutions across Manchester and beyond. We accept applications from all current Year 11 students and welcome students from all the Manchester high schools, as well as students from as far afield as Stockport, Bolton and Ashton-Under-Lyne.
We believe Parrs Wood Sixth Form provides the ideal stepping stone between the sheltered world of school and the independence of university or work.
