TEACHERS TAUGHT A LESSON BY SIXTH FORM MEDICS!

Our seasoned team of Sixth Form First Aid instructors trained 20 of their teachers how to use a Defibrillator Machine recently. This completed a busy year in which the team have already taught the course to over 100 of their peers in this unique collaboration with Manchester Royal Infirmary. This year they will help train new Sixth Form students to become instructors.

Sixth Form instructors ‘At the start of the year we never believed we’d actually be teaching our own teachers. It was daunting at first but once we got started everyone really enjoyed it. We couldn’t have done it without all the help of the MRI team.’

Maths teacher Mr Burns said ‘I’m a numbers man myself, but I have to say the large amount of information was taught to us in a clear and memorable fashion. The hands on practical training made us feel confident using the equipment.’

Miss Burgess added ‘It gave me ideas about how to make my own lessons more interesting. That’s the most fun I’ve had since travelling to America.’

MRI first aid team ‘Parrswood students are always a pleasure to work with and we would seriously consider employing this team. They are reliable, enthusiastic and prepared to put in the necessary time practicing.’
