There is a great variety of extra-curricular activities on offer to students in the school. These are both of an academic (through session 3) and interest nature.
Music
Parrs Wood is a centre of musical excellence.

All perform in school and within the community.
Art Club
The Art department hold exhibitions of the work of pupils and students in school and the community. The department also supports costume, makeup and set design teams. Pupils have also taken part in creating large murals along the banks of the river Mersey.
Drama
A major school production is performed each year. Recent productions have been:

- Little Shop of Horrors (2010)
- The Wizard of Oz (2009)
- Return to the Forbidden Planet (2008)
- A Midsummer Nights Dream (2007)
There are drama workshop groups and regular theatre visits Lower School Drama Club.
Technical Theatre Team.
Shout
Our production company, "Shout", gives pupils access to all aspects of theatre including technical, performance and business. Pupils are encouraged to develop team work skills and experience learning beyond the school campus.
Professionals from diverse industries such as theatre, T.V., engineering, design and biotechnology work closely with our pupils to enrich their learning experience.
Dance
Dance is a growing subject and there are many opportunities to get involved outside of lessons including Lower School Dance club, dance shows and specialist led workshops.
Sport
The school has extensive, well-maintained playing fields for Football, Rugby, Cricket, Athletics and Rounders. It has a floodlit Astro-turf pitch for Netball, Hockey and Tennis, a gymnasium and a large sports hall for Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Cricket. The school has an active and successful physical education department which offers a wide range of popular extra curricular activities. It achieves at the highest levels.
