Exam Results - Summer 2011

 

Year 11 GCSE results reflect significant further improvements in success rates, a 6% increase on last year’s results for the 5 A*-C (incl. English & Maths) threshold, and a new school record for the school at 63%.

 

A Level results - Overall, 25% of grades were A*-A, 54% were A*-B and almost 80% were A*-C which is a fantastic achievement. Seventeen students achieved at least three A/A* grades, four students have secured places at Oxford or Cambridge and 99% of all grades were passes.

We are extremely proud to report that our ‘Year 11 of 2010’ are celebrating the school’s best ever performance at GCSE, after achieving a 10% increase on last year’s results, in the nationally recognised 5 A*- C including English and Maths progress benchmark.
Overall, 74% of all pupils achieved 5 A* - C, another school record, including fourteen pupils who attained straight A* and A grades in all subjects.

 

We are again very pleased to report another impressive set of A-level results from our students in the Sixth Form. Their successes continue the tradition of high achievement and we are proud of all our students for their continued enthusiasm, commitment to study and their role as ambassadors of Parrs Wood Sixth Form.

    Exam Results - Summer 2009

 

The GCSE results showed an overall increase in the number of pupils gaining 5 A*-C grades.

5 x A*-C 66%, A* -G 88%

A* -C with English and Maths 45.81%

English results outstanding with 70% of pupils gaining a grade C or better.

The percentage of grades at A* and A also increased to 20%
