MATHS EQUIPMENT |
The Maths Faculty have on sale every break and lunch time from the faculty office: Basic Calculators (£1), Scientific Calculators (£5), Maths Sets (£1) |
YEAR 7
Setting:
Students are set at the beginning of Year 7 on the basis of their KS2 Maths SATs score. At the end of the first half term they will take an assessment which may confirm a need to adjust the set they are in. Movement between sets can take place at any point in the year if a pupil is working at a level above or below the rest of the class. This decision is made by the class teacher on the basis of classworks, homeworks and test results.
Equipment:
All students should bring a calculator, ruler, compass and protractor to school in addition to the standard equipment needed.
Assessment:
Formal assessments will take place throughout the year which will inform students of the level that they are currently working at.
