Parrs Wood High School and Sixth Form Centre is a specialist Technology College educating young people between the ages of 11 and 19 years in South Manchester.

We are proud to have been awarded specialist status in Technology by the Specialist Schools Trust in recognition of our vision for integrating Technology across the school. We are also proud to achieve the International School Award for the second time in recognition of the international activities, links and visits we provide. These awards will enhance the breadth of educational provision we can offer our pupils and students.

PARRS WOOD ACHIEVES PERSONAL BEST AT GCSE !!

We are extremely proud to report that our ‘Year 11 of 2010’ are celebrating the school’s best ever performance at GCSE, after achieving a 10% increase on last year’s results, in the nationally recognised 5 A*- C including English and Maths progress benchmark.
Overall, 73% of all pupils achieved 5 A* - C, another school record, including fourteen pupils who attained straight A* and A grades in all subjects.
The results are a fantastic achievement and a measure of the commitment and hard work shown by the pupils and staff, reflecting the progress that is being made in raising standards and attainment.
We would like to wish all our pupils, many of whom have chosen to continue their education at Parrs Wood, every happiness and success in their chosen pathway, and ask them to keep in contact to keep us informed as to what we are certain will be a successful future.
